I think that the first statement is true, but it can hurt your feelings. You can't just ignore what they say like it's nothing. It also gets annoying when they keep saying it. You still care about what people think about you because that's what they think you are.

The quote "As long as what others say about me isn't true,I don't care" tells you that words that come out of others mouths won't harm you so you shouldn't get into your feelings. This goes along with the good old saying "Sticks and Stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me" and the reason I say this is because when this quote says I don't care this shows that they ignore negativity towards them. Most people in our country began to get emotional when someone tells them that they are ugly or dumb but if you know that it isn't true then you shouldn't even worry about them because they are jealous of your smartness. At the same time there are people with tough souls in their body and they know how to ignore negativity and go on with their lives. This all shows the different stereotyping going around in our community but this should be ignored and many decide to ignore it.

In the statement it stated, “As long as what others say about me isn’t true I don’t care”. I take the opposing side. I believe that you should care. I say that because it could demoralize your self-esteem. I say that because you shouldn’t just let people run at the mouth about your name. You could continue to tell yourself you don’t care, but as time goes on, tension builds and then you explode, not literally. Everything someone says you’ll believe. That’s why I say you should care but then have a good enough self-esteem to where it won’t affect you negatively.

Personally I believe what happens to others is my business. When I was little my mom would always call me her ":Nosy Ladybug". I can't help that I get involved, I just enjoy spreading my thoughts about my surroundings. This quality is very useful when it comes to sticking up for others. I can still remember myself at 9 years old sticking up for my cousin who was 11. My cousin had a speech disorder. This would cause others to make fun of him. So one day when we were playing basketball, a boy said a very rude comment. I couldn't help but to say something smart back to him.

In the statement, "As long as what someone says about me isn't true, I don't care.", I don't understand why people talk about others. The words they say hurt others just for amusement but that is not amusing nor humorous. When it comes to race, that is simply going over the line. They shouldn't even be talking about anyone. This counts as bullying. When a person is being bullied or talked about, go tell an adult not stand there laughing. Most of the things won't be true but it still affects people. I don't care when I'm talked about even if it's true. Most of the time it's not.

In the statement, " I'm not prejudice, but white people are always..." , I believe people would end that sentence saying that white people are first or superior. That is racist because they are saying that one race is better than the other. It's also stereotypical because of the way we act. It shouldn't matter what our skin color is or how we act to judge people who are different.

Some people use the quote,"As long as what others say about me isn't true, I don't care." This quote might sound right in your mind, but there are some problems with it. In a world with a lot of stereotyping, that's not the best way to think. Of course, it's good to not let stereotyping get to you, but sometimes what they say about you might be true. Sometimes, you need to listen to the stereotypes to improve yourself.

In the first statement people will always have something to say about anyone. A person still needs to be able to take negative and positive criticism and turn both into a positive. Depending on how you deal with the situation the outcome can be positive or negative. The problem depends upon the one involved.

I disagree with the first statement. You should mind your own business however, if you see something happening to someone that is putting their life in danger, I think you should speak up. But, if it is putting your life on danger then I would advise you to call the proper authorities.

"As long as what others say about me isn't true, I don't care." This statement got me thinking. You shouldn't care what others say about you. As long as you know that whatever someone says about you isn't true, you should care less. If it bothers you that much that people are telling those lies about you, address the situation. Let them know the truth, but it's up to them whether they want to believe you or not.

"As long as what others say about me isn't true I don't care". In some cases that's a good thing. It means you're confident but maybe a bit too much. While you may not care this rumor(for instance) about you can spread and this can be dangerous especially if colleges are looking at you to recruit. If things you allegedly said about best friends you can easily lose them. It does matter what people say about you but you should still be confident in you at the same time.

"As long as what others say about me isn't true, I don't care. Sometimes people don't see what others see. You might not see what I see about you, so do you know if it's true or not. If you don't care and someone tells you something you can benefit from, you might want to listen. Not everything someone says has to be negative, it could be positive. Sometimes people are in denial of who they are or how they act, but everyone else sees it. Once you say something to that person, they automatically go " no I don't." How can they know if the persons is lying or not ,because they don't see what they see.

"What happens to others is none of my business." I disagree with this because you should care about other people. I also agree because some people get upset if you're all up in their business. You should always treat others how you would want to be treated. If you care about that person's troubles/business, then, they would care about yours in return.

The first quote is used often and it helps sometimes. If the same thing is being said you need to see if it's true and you need to prove them wrong. You shouldn't let anyone's opinion(s) bother you. You have to stay strong and realize no ones perfect, but you can try. The second quote is stereotyping, they are just judging her appearance. You should never judge someone by their appearance. You have to give them a chance and their personality can be really different. You should also try to make your appearance represent you. The last quote is racial profiling. Your saying just because of their skin tone they do a certain thing. Not all people do the same thing. It's wrong and your judging someone without knowing them.

For the first statement I disagree. I think you should always care about what others have to say about you. It does not matter if what people say about you is true or not, because it can still affect you. People can spread rumors about you can are not always true and it can ruin your reputation.

"As long as what they say about me isnt true i done care" This qoute is often what you hear people say. Alot of people try to act like they dont care but in all reality they do. Words can break you down and make you feel bad. Most people hide their feelings and act like everything is good but its not.

"As long as what others say about me isn't true, I don't care." I believe this statement should be true about everyone. If someone calls you something that may be offensive, but isn't true, you can dismiss them. Your time shouldn't be wasted on immature imbecilic moron who don't even know anything about you. Even if someone says something about you that is true, you should realize that it's true and move on.

I disagree to the statement. Because I care what others say about me because it makes me a better person. It shows me what I need to fix. And it also shows me what I do right. You should like what others think of you because atleast they are being honest.

"As long as what others say about me isn't true. I don't care." What is the truth? We all see our selves and others through the same glass mirror, but everyone sees something different. People see flaws that we don't see and vice versa. We may consider it as bullying, in which it can be at times, but what if we just can't see the truth. For example someone may call you mean, but you will deny not knowing how you really are. Sometimes what is said can be beneficial, but not everything. It sort of contradicts the other when it comes to listening to what people say about you.

The first statement I disagree with because this affects many teens. What people say about them they believe even if they know it's true. This can make teens feel bad and go into depression. Words do hurt and especially for children. So I disagree with this statement.

I don't agree with the first statement. I feel like I shouldn't care what people say about me as long as they're talking about me. I'm flattered at the fact that someone's thinking about me. No matter what you say about me as long as it's about me, I don't care. Call me narcissistic, but that's the 31st I are it.

In the first statement I believe you should caret to a certain extent. I think you should care if it has potential to harm you physically or if it could harm your reputation. Other than that if you are not in harms way you can't really help what people say about you and its not really worth the trouble.
